After 10 years in the music industry, becoming a wife and mother won’t slow Adrian Johnston down. The Dallas native and fourth-generation Texan has spent years touring the state on a whirlwind of different gigs and radio stops sharing songs and stories of her family’s deep Texas roots. After all, her great grandfather was a cotton farmer- turned-baseball player who competed against the legendary Babe Ruth! Johnston’s bold voice a la “Wynonna’s soul, Carrie’s power, Miranda’s sass and Dolly’s sweetness” is on full display in her most recent single “Morning Person” and latest EP It Takes Time. An advocate for females in country music, Johnston founded “GRITS: Girls Raised in Texas,” an all-girl acoustic tour. In her free time as an ode to her passion for fashion, Johnston opened her own women’s clothing boutique, SHEALITY in Jefferson, Texas.
